i decided to change out some of lucy’s clothes in her closet (she’s almost ready for the next size) and figured that while i was at it, i might as well go through all of leslie’s old things, too. so now i have 3 “piles” of clothes: keep for leslie, keep for lucy, and get rid of. i’m trying to keep things they might want someday…coming home from the hospital outfits, first christmas dresses, etc. and i’m learning something about myself along the way: i have a hard time parting with things. i still remember every stained onesie and the bib leslie wore the first time she ate a jar of squash. my hope is that soon the ever-expanding piles of clothes scattered all over lucy’s nursery will magically morph into three very organized piles and that i will be able to pack up the discard pile without getting teary-eyed. we’ll see how that goes…
what was i thinking?
